March 18 Lecture postponed

At Heritage Sylvania, we take the health and safety of our guests and staff very seriously. Working with the federal, state and local health agencies, the Ohio Department of Tourism and the Ohio Humanities Council, along with many local and regional partners, we are closely monitoring the developments related to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Based on current understanding of this disease and the desire to work to flatten the curve of spread by increasing social distancing and decreasing large public gatherings, we are postponing our upcoming “Let’s Talk History” lecture scheduled for Wednesday March 18. This event will be rescheduled later in the fall; please refer to our social media outlets, and website for more details.

Currently we are working with local schools to continue to provide engaging programs and limit potential spread. For any schools who wish to or are forced to cancel or postpone programs, we will work to reschedule.

We will continue to monitor the situation and reassess policies and programming as it relates to open hours in the Museum, the Lathrop House, the Village and other upcoming events. We encourage you to take steps to keep yourself and community healthy. The Toledo Lucas County Website is continuing to update as new information is available. https://www.lucascountyhealth.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Coronavirus-Preparedness-Fact-Sheet.pdf
