Heritage Sylvania receives support from the Ohio Humanities OH CARES fund

We are excited to announce that Heritage Sylvania has been awarded an Ohio CARES grant through Ohio Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Federal CARES Act of 2020.

As part of the federal CARES Act of 2020, funds were allocated to assist non-profits suffering the economic impact of the COVID-19 Virus. Specifically, Congress appropriated funds to the National Endowment for the Humanities that were designated to state humanities councils to aide cultural/heritage organizations.

These funds will allow us to continue our work to provide innovative new programs and experiences that will help support teachers and parents and provide fun, engaging experiences for students through the months ahead. Additionally the grant monies will be used to create new ways to connect with audiences of all ages, both in person if possible and via digital media as needed until such a time that we can fully open our doors to the public.

Cultural/heritage organizations like ours are vital to the economic health of our community and our region. We are grateful for the support of the Ohio Humanities through the National Endowment for the Humanities and the federal CARES Act of 2020.
