Decorate the Historical Village with our First ever Scarecrow Building Contest!

We are excited to host the first annual Scarecrow Building Contest at Heritage Sylvania.

You, your group, business, or organization are invited to participate by creating your own original scarecrow.  All entries will be displayed during the Sylvania Fall Festival October 16 and 17.

Be creative!  Create one or a whole family of scarecrows.

Your organization will be identified with signage by your entry and promoted as participates through our social media page.  This is great exposure for your business, group or nonprofit.

Prizes will be given in several categories.

You must register in advance so we know how many to expect.

We will provide an upright pole and zip ties to secure the entries.  If you need to support arms, you will have to create your own cross bar for support.

Entries must not exceed 6 feet tall.

All entries must be family friendly.  We reserve  the right to remove displays that depict graphic scenes of horror or violence (i.e no chain saws or other weapons).

Deadline for Registration:  October 4. Register Here!

Entries must be delivered by Friday October 15.  We will arrange with you times to drop off and set up your displays.

Scarecrows will remain up through October 29.
